Each year, the Ottawa Real Estate Board raises funds for the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation through our annual charity golf tournament, the “$2 per member per month” campaign, and independent Member donations. The Foundation is operated by the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA), and its mission is to collect funds raised by OREA members across Ontario and provide grants to shelter-related charities in communities throughout the province.
These charities assist those among us who do not have adequate shelter; those who may be dealing with homelessness, addiction, mental or physical illness, spousal or familial abuse, physical disability, poverty or ageing. The work these organizations do is essential to the well-being of our community, but it is often difficult and stressful work, and there is never adequate funding available from public sources for equipment, staff, and infrastructure.
Funds Raised
Since its inception in 2003, the Annual Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $350,000 for these deserving charities as part of OREB’s yearly distribution of funds.

2023 Grant Recipients
In 2023 we were able to contribute over $117,000 to local charities through the REALTORS Care® Foundation. This has been the largest amount we have ever contributed to the Foundation. Well done OREB Members!
We are pleased to announce that 13 charities received a grant in 2023. Each of these 13 charities was endorsed and recommended by a Member of our Board, thus ensuring that any grants awarded would go to charities supported by our Members.
